In October 18 th of 1994 and under the initiative of former Hotelier Lakis Charalambous, Olympus Tours opened its doors in Cancun, Mexico. The Company was formed basically of some few enthusiastic professionals that shared Lakis Charalambous’s philosophy of courteous, efficient and reliable service to visitors of the already worldwide known Mexican resort.
Olympus Tours operates in the most important beach destinations in Mexico.
Ever since, the company has expanded to become one of the largest ground operators in the country with an astonishing record of customer satisfaction for fifteen consecutive years . Today, Olympus Tours has its own transportation company, a travel agency and six offices in: Cancun, Riviera Maya, Cozumel, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta and Mexico City.

Olympus Tours, the prestigious receptive ground operator based in Cancun, Mexico, was awarded with The Best International Ground Operator prize by Flight Centre USA, for its outstanding performance in 2010-2012. Olympus Tours was nominated and later chosen among dozens of other ground operators as The Best International Ground Operator by an overwhelming majority of employees of Gogo Worldwide Vacations and Liberty Travel, a division of the Australian travel giant Flight Centre. The selection process included votes from all associates that interact with Gogo’s travel partners around the world, from managers, team leaders, accounting, administrative and operations. The award was received by Lakis Charalambous, President of Olympus Tours, and General Manager Leticia Franco, during the Flight Centre Partner Pride event held in New York’s country club on October 6th by the President of Flight Centre USA, Mr. Dean Smith.
