Tour Overview
  DAY 1 MEXICO CITY: Arrive in Mexico City, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for 3 nights. Overnight in Mexico City. DAY 2 & 3 MEXICO CITY: See the best of both "Old and New" Mexico City on your 2 Sightseeing excursions. The Pyramids & Shrine of Guadalupe shows you the entire complex of Aztec treasures, such as the Pyramids of the Sun & Moon, Temple of Quetzalcoatl and Palace of the Jaguars. En route visit the Shrine of Guadalupe, the 2nd most visited religious shrine in the world. The half day Mexico City Tour includes the Metropolitan Cathedral, Chapultepec Park area, the National Palace, The Zocalo of Mexico and the Museum of Anthropology. Overnight in Mexico City (two nights). DAY 4 MORELIA: Depart Mexico City and enjoy a comfortable journey through the colonial country side beyond the capital, arriving in Morelia in time for lunch. On the way, visit the city of Toluca. Afternoon sightseeing in Morelia includes visit to the Cathedral, Guadalupe Church and Convent of the Roses. Overnight in Morelia. DAY 5 MORELIA / PATZCUARO: This morning you'll depart Morelia for a visit to Patzcuaro including the Island of Janitzio, renowned for the arts and crafts produced by local Indians. Site seeing also includes the eleven patios house and a visit to the marketplace known for its unique copperware. Overnight in Morelia. DAY 6 GUANAJUATO: Early morning departs for your escorted drive to Guanajuato. A former mining town Guanajuato boasts one of Mexico's finest Universities. Site seeing includes a visit to the Marketplace, the museum of the Mexican Independence, Juarez Theater and the house of Diego Rivera. You will also have time to explore the Mummies Catacombs, one of the Guanajuato's most famous attractions. In the evening you may wish to stroll trough the charming streets and enjoy the local music often heard in the Plaza. Overnight in Guanajuato. Day 7 SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE: Depart Guanajuato for your morning drive to San Miguel de Allende. En route visit Dolores where Hidalgo proclaimed Mexico's independence. Your guide will take you to the House of Hidalgo and our Lady of Dolores church. Afternoon arrival in San Miguel de Allende a colonial town famous for its support of the arts. Visit the institutes of art, church of San Miguel and Pozitos House, known for its cultivation and beautiful display of orchids. Overnight in San Miguel de Allende. Day 8 SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE / MEXICO CITY: Early morning drive to Mexico City. Drop off at the International Mexico City Airport.
