Shopping in Mexico City can be quite entertaining. We highly recommend you to visit "el bazaar del sabado" (Saturday bazaar) located in the beautiful and traditional southern neighborhood called San Angel.  It is an open market where painters and sculptors showcase their work. You can also find great handicrafts made by local artisans. Did we mention that it only opens on Saturday?

If you like international designers and haute couture, you may want to visit the ultra elegant shops in Mazaryk Street where you can find anything from fine silk neckties to the latest Cartier watch.

Another market worth visiting, if you want to find beautiful Mexican handcrafts at great prices, is the "Mercado de artesanias Balderas" that is open 7 days a week and features pieces from all regions of Mexico.
