Great beaches are normally categorized by characteristics such as near-clear water, never-ending views, and soft near-white sands. The great thing about beaches in Mexico is that each have their own surroundings that are completely different from each other.

Some great hidden beaches can be found on this side of the Mexican coast. Oaxaca is a beach north of Cabo, and is known for its seclusion and great views.

Mexico’s Caribbean Coast Beaches

Waters on the Caribbean coast differ greatly from the Pacific coach beaches. These waters are much more calm and clear. If you want to participate in activities, such as diving, snorkeling, or even just relaxing then Mexico’s Caribbean coast should be your preferred choice.

Mexico’s Pacific Coast Beaches

Mexico’s Pacific coast is known for its great surfing destinations. Puerto Marques is known for its remote beaches with a few restaurants that are easily accessed from the seafront.

North of Puerto Marques you can find Puerto Vallarta, which is a favorite city to visit among tourists as it provides an array of different types of activities while still keeping its charm. Originally a city that was used as a hub for ships from China and the Philippines, the buildings date back centuries. Calm Pacific Beaches

For those visiting the Mexican Pacific side, yet you still want calm seas, make sure to visit Playa Costa Azul, and Playa del Amor, where the covered bays protect the beaches from the harsh Pacific waves.
